Welcome to the Florida Transit Operator Training Program website.  Established in 2000, the Program was developed to provide standardized curriculum training to Florida ’s transit operator trainers.  Funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and administered by the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida (USF), the Program has grown to include a voluntary statewide transit operator trainer certification program as well as an effective and proactive Florida Operations Network.   Additionally, the program works closely with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Transportation Safety Institute to develop and offer transit training.
